The 12th annual Witches of Delray Beach Bike Ride, hosted each year by the Achievement Centers for Children & Families, takes place from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, starting at Delray Beach City Hall and ending at the Green Market in Old School Square. The Witches’ ride features more than 300 witches in their best witch-wear, riding their extravagantly decorated brooms (bikes) through the streets of scenic Delray Beach. They also ride along the ocean on A1A guided by the Delray Beach Police Department. There’s a water stop at the Sandoway Nature Center parking lot and then the party continues at the Old School Square’s outdoor pavilion stage. Music and an awards presentation for “Best Costume,” “Best Witch Cackle,” “Best Decorated Broom (Bike),” and “Best Group Theme” are planned.
